Ten new boards joined Rotate Rings on 14 October 2026: levels 171 through 180. Every one of them is an Intermediate-tier board (level 100 and up), and every one now has a full walkthrough video filmed during a clean solve, so if a ring keeps locking back into place you can watch exactly which ring was turned and in what order.
They are listed lowest to highest below, with a direct link to each level page and to its video. The level page carries the same walkthrough video, the board's difficulty tier and a link back to the rest of the catalogue.

Level 171
The first board of the batch. Nothing new is added to the rule set at this point in the game — every ring has one gap, a ring only comes free when its gap lines up with the ring threaded through it, and the board is solved when the last ring drops out. What climbs here is the number of rings that depend on each other, so the opening turn commits you more than it did a hundred levels ago.

Level 172
A ring you free early takes its neighbours with it, and a ring you free too late stays in the way of the one behind it. On boards in this range the two look identical for the first few turns, which is why the recording is worth watching from the start rather than from the point where it looks stuck.

Level 173
If 173 fights back, watch only the opening: the first two or three turns of a clean solve are where the order lives, and copying those usually gets you past the spot where the board stopped opening. Finish the rest yourself, it sticks better than watching the whole run.

Level 174
The turn counter only matters if you care about a second, cleaner run — nothing here fails you or times you out. The video shows the whole solve at normal speed, so you can pause on any frame and read the ring that was just turned and the one it freed.

Level 175
By this point the frames are built from more rings than the early C-shaped locks, and the difference between a clean solve and a slow one is a single turn made too early. The recording shows that turn clearly: what was moved first, and what was deliberately left alone.

Level 176
When a ring looks free but will not lift, something is still threaded through it — that is the whole lock, and it is what this range keeps testing. The walkthrough makes the blocking ring easy to spot, because it is the one that gets turned immediately before the ring comes loose.

Level 177
Same tier, same habit: before you turn anything, find the ring that only one other ring is holding. That one is usually the safest to start with, and the video's opening turn is normally exactly that ring.

Level 178
Boards in the 170s reward patience more than speed. If a turn closes a gap you have not used yet, it is worth undoing mentally before you commit — the video never needs to take that turn back, which is the tell that the order it uses is a clean one.

Level 179
The second-to-last board in today's batch. Work from the outside in if the board has an obvious outer frame: the outer rings usually carry the most dependencies, and clearing them first stops the inner ones from being blocked twice over.

Level 180
The newest board on the site so far, and the last one in this batch. If the board ends with a ring that will not release, that is almost always a turn taken too early somewhere at the start — replaying the first three turns of the video is faster than hunting for it by hand.

How to use these walkthroughs
- Watch the first two or three turns. Every board is a dependency chain: the opening turns decide which ring comes free next, and the rest follows from there. Copying the opening teaches more than watching the whole solve.
- Pause and finish it yourself. Rotate Rings scores you on the number of turns, so a board you already solved is worth a second, cleaner run — that is a good reason to stop the video halfway and take over.
- Check the tier before you panic. Levels 171-180 are all Intermediate. Boards here stack more rings and more dependencies than the beginner boards, but the rule never changes: a ring only comes free when its gap meets the ring threaded through it.
New boards are added here as the game's level list grows, so this page is the shortest route to the newest content on the site. If you want the full catalogue, the Rotate Rings level index lists every board we cover, and the blog collects the written guides alongside these release posts.
